BAM! You just chipped that piece of furniture that you were almost done with. Is it ruined?
During your move you broke a piece off of that antique. How do you fix it?

Steps to repairing your chipped furniture
Locate the Chip - In my case the chip broke completely off. For the most part, if the chip or split is still connected leave it that way.
Test the fit - The chip or split should fit back into its place like a puzzle piece. If not then there are probably a few loose wood fibers in the way. Carefully cut them out with an X-acto Knife. Remove less material than you think necessary and test fit. Repeat until you get a snug fit.
Glue the heck out of it - In the video I used Dap Rapid Fuse (its a super glue) but regular wood-glue will work to. Just slower.
Clamp it in place - Clamp it securely until your glue is dry
Fill and Sand - Elmers Stainable Woodfiller is the best woodfiller I’ve found for furniture. Fill the small cracked or voids with woodfiller. Once dry sand it smooth. 120grit sandpaper is a good starting point then finish with 180 or 220grit.
Touch up Paint or Stain - Unfortunately you’re on your own here. A quality locally owned and operated paint store should be able to to help you match the finish.
