This is part of our Essential Tools Series. A Guide to help Begining woodworkers find the tools they need to build great furniture on a Budget.

Kreg 720 Pro Pocket Hole Jig

Kreg makes some cheaper pocket hole jigs, but do yourself a favor and pony up for this version. You will not regret buying it. If you’re about to build your own kitchen cabinets using our Kitchen Cabinet Plans, you’re about to drill A LOT of pocket holes. Having a nice pocket hole jig like this one will make the entire project more enjoyable.

If you are a serious woodworker and have the room the Kreg Foreman is a worthy investment

Kreg Corner Clamps

There are two versions of corner clamps from Kreg. In our Essential Clamps for Woodworking Article. I explained that the Right Angle Clamp is my preferred style but the 90-degree corner clamp has proven itself useful during our “DIY Kitchen Cabinet Series” on Youtube.

This is my preferred clamp for assembling furniture.

I’ve been on the fence about this clamp’s value, but it definitely has its uses and is growing on me

The Kreg Shelf Pin Jig is a fantastic little tool that I use all the time. Once you get one you’ll be surprised with all the places you decide to install simple adjustable shelving.

If you’ve read and watched our How to Build Great Drawers series you’ll already know about this jig. It’s simple, inexpensive, and does exactly what it is designed to do.

I prefer European-style concealed hinges on my cabinetry. If you make your own doors a jig like this one will be super helpful.

Kreg Drawer Pull Jig

Installing drawer pulls is something you 100% want to get right. Having a jig to do it with is the way to go.
